Three sessions moving from the smallest fact to the biggest picture. First: the universe is expanding, every galaxy pulling away from every other one, and running that backward lands on an extremely hot, dense beginning about 13.8 billion years ago, not an explosion into empty space but space itself stretching. Then, just how large what came out of that beginning actually is. And last, what happens inside a star over its lifetime, the same stars that first lit up as that early hot universe finally cooled. Beginning, scale, and ending, in that order.
